Der Basston bildet das Fundament für den Akkord. Von dem ausgehend sollte die Improvisation \"eingenordet\" sein.

Er ist also ein Orientierungspunkt für die Skala.

(fürs erste Üben ist es vielleicht sinnvoll sich auf den Basston oder den Melodie-Grundton zu konzentrieren)

Vom Basston (oder Melodie-Grundton) wird aber häufiger als alle anderen Töne gestartet; oder dieser wird öfter angestrebt oder gespielt oder umspielt...

Und beim mehrstimmigen Spielen ist er natürlich der Hauptkanditat für Bassläufe, Wechselbass und natürlich als Basston.

Zudem wird er immer gebraucht um den Bass beim Schlagen des Akkordes (Übergang Improvisation - Schlagen) zu treffen...

Wie schon gesagt: er nordet deine Improvisation ein.
